Ability to shift the ball out of tight space to step and combine


Description

In this session we are focusing on our ability to shift the ball out of tight space to step and combine. The drill begins with the coach passing the ball to the player who looks to receive on the back foot. The player then looks to open out and bring the ball around the cone and through the gate to then pass back to the coach. The player then steps up to combine first time either side of the mannequin before dropping to repeat. When shifting the ball the player needs to keep the ball close to the ball whilst retaining a lower body shape to maintain control of the ball. Each set should consist of 3 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
