Driving into space, touching and moving through tight spaces
Description
In this session we are focusing on driving into space, touching and moving through tight spaces. The drill begins with the coach passing to the open who looks to open out and drive to the wide cone. As the player reaches the cone they look to slow down to maintain control of the ball before passing to the coach and moving into space. The coach then plays the ball back to the player who touches and moves through the middle cones to pass back to the coach. Once the player passes the ball they look to move around the front cone to receive and set back to the coach to then scan and drop back to the start point then repeat on the opposite side. The player should ensure that they receive the ball on the back foot when touching across and opening out. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
