Combing and moving to receive, play and step in to set


Description

In this session we are focusing on combining and moving to receive, play and step in to set. The drill begins with the coach passing to player 1 on the outside of the cone, with the player setting back to then receive and set back on the inside of the cone. Once the player has set back they look to scan and drop to the deepest cone to receive the ball on the back foot, open out and pass to the coach. The player then steps through the middle to receive and set back to the coach who then plays into player 2 to repeat. The players should ensure that they scan their shoulders and execute passes first time to move the ball quickly. Each set should consist of 5 - 8 reps per player and should be completed at least three times.
