Setting and moving off the defender to receive in space
Description
In this session we are focusing on setting and moving off the defender to receive in space. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who sets back and drops to the middle mannequin/pole. The coach then passes the ball back to the player who sets the ball across and moves off the defender and into the space to receive the ball back, touch into space and play. The drill is then repeated moving the opposite way. The player should ensure that they receive the ball on the back foot to touch across and scan their shoulders. Each set should consist of 2 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
