First time passing and moving to work the ball into space


Description

In this session we are focusing on first time passing and moving to work the ball into space. The drill begins with player 1 passing to player 2. Player 2 then sets the ball back and then scans their shoulder to drop to the cone/pole behind. As player 1 receives the ball back, they look to set the ball into player 2 again whilst moving to the middle. When player 2 receives the ball they set back to player 1, who then sets the ball across for player 2 to move around and meet the ball. Player 2 then passes the ball to player 1 who sets back and repeats the sequence. The players need to ensure they are comfortable using both feet, stay light on their feet when moving and scan their shoulders. Each set should last between 30 - 60 seconds and should be completed at least three times.
