Varying touches to combine, receive and play forward
Description
In this session we are focusing on varying touches to combine, receive and play forward. The drill begins with the player receiving and setting back first time on both sides of the cone/pole. The player then scans and drops to the first cone behind them, where they look to touch the ball in front of the cone whilst moving around the back of the cone to then pass back to the coach. The player then scans again to drop to the next cone, where they receive the ball again to open out and play forward. When receiving to play forward, the player looks to move off the cone to create an angle to receive on the back foot so they can take the ball forward. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
