Body shape to receive the ball and touch into space
Description
In this session we are focusing on our body shape to receive the ball and touch into space. The drill begins with the player pulling off the cone/pole to receive and set back to the coach. The player then looks to move across to the next cone, were they touch the ball infront of the cone whilst moving around to then meet the ball and pass to the coach. Once the player has passed the ball, they move across to the opposite side to move infront of the cone and create an angle to receive on the back foot to touch into space and pass. The players body shape is vital in order to touch the ball into space and to receive on the back foot. They should open open and see the ball whilst enabling themselves to take the ball away in one motion. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
