Combining first time to move and receive in space
Description
In this session we are focusing on combining first time to move and receive in space. The drill begins with the player setting back to the coach first time on both sides of the cone/pole. Once the player sets back for the second time, they look to drop to the cone behind to receive and open out. The player can vary the first touch, before passing to the coach and moving to the outside cone. As the player reaches the outside cone, the coach passes the ball for the player to set back and move inside where they receive the ball back and touch across their body to then play back to the coach and repeat. That touch should shift across the cone as if they are taking the ball away into space. The player should ensure they check their shoulders and stay alert to adapt. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
