Practicing taking the ball across the body in different ways

Description

In this session we are focusing on taking the ball across the body in different ways. The drill begins with the coach passing into the player who looks to set back and then move. After every pass, the player will move towards the coach fo receive and set back before moving. The player then looks to receive the ball on the inside of the cone, where they look to touch the ball infront of the cone and move around the back. The player should use the instep of the outside foot, or the outside of the back foot. After stepping up to set and then dropping, the player then receives the ball on the outside of the cone, this time they look to create an angle to receive on the back foot to touch into space to play. The drill is then repeated working off the opposite side. The player should ensure that they scan their shoulders before dropping back. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
