V touch to drop and receive on the back foot


Description

In this session we are focusing on a V touch to drop and receive on the back foot. The drill begins with the player receiving and setting the ball back to the coach in the middle. The player then looks to move around the cone to the outside. The coach then passes the ball for the player to touch inside with the instep, before dragging back with the sole of the foot to then pass back to the coach. After the player has executed the V touch, they look to drop to receive the ball on the back foot to take back into the middle and repeat. The player should ensure that their body shape can see the ball and the space where they are going to take the ball. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
