Reacting Quickly to Receive

Description

In this session we are focusing on our players reactions, awareness and ball control. The drill is split into two parts, with the only difference being that the player will receive the ball and turn in the progression. The drill starts with the coach saying one of the two coloured cones. The player then proceeds to move around one of the cones, whilst always facing the ball. Upon returning into the square, the coach plays into the player, either in the air to control, or on the floor, before saying a colour again. In the progression, the player will receive the ball before moving to the cone, so now they will receive the ball to take it to the colour that the coach indicated before passing back. Each set should last between 30-60 seconds.
