Turning out of a tight area to receive in space
Description
In this session we are focusing on turning out of tight area to receive in space. The drill begins with the player receiving on the outside of the cone to set back to the coach and receive and set back on the inside. The player then looks to move to the middle cone to receive on the back foot to open out and then turn back across to play and move around the cone. The coach then plays the ball into the player for them to set back and check their shoulder to move and receive in space to open out to them work from the opposite side. The player should look to create space to receive and protect the ball when dragging the ball back. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
