Setting the ball across to move on the shoulder
Description
In this session we are focusing on setting the ball across to move on the shoulder. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who looks to set the ball across the pole/cone first time, before moving to the other side to repeat. Passes should be cushioned to enable the ability to play first time. The coach will instruct the player to move to one of the cones at any time. when the player moves to the cone to their left, they receive the ball, open out and play back to the coach before returning to the middle. If the player moves to their right, they move on the outside to play back first time and then the inside before moving back to the middle. The players movement should should take them across on the shoulder to move into the space. Each set should consist of 6 - 10 reps and should be completed at least three times.
