Working the ball quickly to play forward
Description
In this session we are focusing on working the ball quickly to play forwards. The drill begins with the red player moving through the poles/cones to set the ball before moving away to create space. The coach then plays to the blue player, who opens out and passes to the red player who looks to play back to the blue player. The red player then looks to move into space, as the blue player sets the ball to enable the red player to play forward. The players then switch over and the drill is repeated. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps per player and should be completed at least three times each side.
