Combining quickly to move into space to receive and open out

Description

In this session we are focusing on quick combination play to receive and open out. The drill begins with the coach passing to the blue player on the inside of start cone/pole. The player sets back and then receives the ball on the outside of the cone and then the inside. Once the player has set inside for the second time, they look to move to the middle cone, were the coach will play the ball. As that occurs, the red player moves towards the middle cone to combine with the blue player by playing three quick 1 - 2’s, before the blue player moves to the pole/cone on their shoulder to receive, open out and play back to the coach. The red player then turns to repeat the drill, with the blue player moving back around the pole/cone that the red player started on. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps per player and should be completed at least three times.
