Working the ball into space to play high

Description

In this session we are focusing on working the ball into space to play high. The drill begins with the blue player moving out from the pole/cone to receive and set across to the coach. The blue player then moves across to receive and set back, before moving to the pole behind them. As the player receives the ball, they look to open out and pass to the red player who moves away from the pole to receive. The red player then sets ball for the blue player to move onto, before moving towards the start point. When the blue player moves onto the ball, they look to pass to the coach first time to maintain to tempo and to reenact passing through the opposition. The drill can be completed on both sides. Each set should last between 30 - 90 seconds depending on the age of the players and should be completed at least three times.
