Quick sets to move out & receive

Description

In this session we are focusing on setting quickly to move out to receive and play forward. The drill begins with the player moving through the poles/cones to receive and set back first time, before moving out the other side and repeating. Once the player has set for the second time, they then move to the pole behind, where they then receive the ball on the back foot to open out and play forward through the gate. The drill is then repeated on the opposite side. When setting the ball, the player should look to cushion the pass to enable to coach to play back quickly. Also, when travelling backwards, the player should scan their shoulder to be aware of the space around them. Each set should consist of 6 - 10 reps and should be completed at least three times.
