Dribbling to move into space

Description

In this session we are focusing on our players ability to dribble and play first time to move into space. The drill begins with the coach passing the ball to the player. The player looks to open out and dribble towards the middle pole/cone. Once the player is near the pole, they look to move around the pole and into space to pass to the coach, before moving infront of the next pole into space to receive again and set back again. After the player has set the ball back for the second time, they then look to move to the pole on the outside, where they will then receive the ball again and repeat the drill. It’s important that the player keeps the ball close to the body when moving around the pole, to ensure that they are in control of the ball. Each set should last between 30 - 60 seconds, and should be completed at least three times.
