Setting to Receive Wide
Description
In this session we are working on our movement onto the ball, before moving into space. The drill starts with the player passing to the coach, before moving towards the middle poles/cones on the opposite side. The player then comes through the poles diagonally, with the coach then playing into the player for a 1-2, with the player continuing their movement out wide to receive the ball again. When the player receives the ball wide, you can either instruct them to dribble into space, or to set back for another 1-2, where the coach will play the ball in front of the player to run onto. Each set should last between 30-60 seconds, or a minimum of two sets each side.
