Quick passing to open out

Description

In this session we are focusing on quick first time passes to then open out and play. The drill begins with the player completing two first time passes, on the left and right foot, either side of the pole/cone. The player then checks their shoulder and moves towards the pole behind to receive, open out and play back to the coach before repeating. The tempo should be set high from the start, with the player completing the first time passes sharp and accurate to enable them to move out quickly. The player should look to move away from the pole when receiving, to provide themselves with more room to open out. Each set should last between 30 - 60 seconds and should be completed at least three times.
