Switch play to move in behind
Description
In this session we are focusing on moving the ball quickly to open out, switch play and move in behind. The drill begins with the coach playing a 1 - 2 with the red player, who then moves in between the two poles/cones to play another 1 -2. The player then moves to the outside of the pole to receive on the back foot and then play to the blue player. The blue player sets the ball for the red player to move onto and pass to the blue player who moves in behind the pole to receive and continue the drill. The tempo should be high throughout, with the focus on the players ability to play first time and move quickly to receive. Each set should last between 30 - 60 seconds and should be completed at least three times.
