Open on the half turn to travel with the ball


Description

In this session we are focusing on opening on the half turn to travel with the ball. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who receives on the half turn. The player takes the ball forward and past the cone before turning and passing back to the coach. The player then moves in short to set before scanning, dropping and receiving to touch and play. The drill then repeats moving the opposite way. The players body shape should be open to receive on the back foot. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
