Adjusting the body shape to receive on the back foot
Description
In this session we are focusing on adjusting the body shape to receive on the back foot. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who sets back on either side of the cone. The player then scans and moves to cone behind to their left. The coach then passes the ball for the player to receive on their left, touch and play before moving across to the other side to receive on their right. The players body shape should be open to allow the ball to come across to the back foot. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
