Set to Spin Out & Receive
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players ability spin out to receive and play. The drill starts with the player in the middle moving towards the pole/cone on the side of the ball, to receive and set back, before spinning out into space. Once the player has moved into the space, they receive the ball again, to open out and play to the other side. The player then moves back into the middle before repeating on the other side. It’s important to reiterate to the players the importance of their body position when receiving the ball, ensuring that they open out to see where the ball is coming from and where they want to take it. Each set should last between 30 - 60 seconds, and each player should complete at least two sets.
