Quick passing to drop and receive on the back foot
Description
In this session we are focusing on quick passing to drop and receive on the back foot. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who sets back. The coach numbers to two front cones 1 & 2. The player moves to the cone that the coach shouts to receive and set back on either side of the cone. The player then scans and drops back to one of the cones behind. The coach then passes the ball to the player who receives on the back foot and passes back to the coach before receiving, setting back and dropping to the outside of the cone to receive and play again. The players body shape should be open to receive the ball on the back foot. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
