Body shape and scanning to receive on the back foot


Description

In this practice we are focusing on our body shape and scanning to receive on the back foot. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who sets back on either side of the cone. The player then moves out to receive, touch and play. The coach then passes the ball back to the player who sets back and moves out again to receive, touch, turn and play. The player should scan as they move out and open the body shape to receive on the back foot. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
