Touching on the half turn to take the ball forward


Description

In this practice we are focusing on touching on the half turn to take the ball forward. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who takes a touch and passes back to the coach. The player then steps in to receive and set back to the coach before moving to the opposite side of the cone. The player then receives the ball on the half turn to touch forward before turning back and pass. The player should ensure they open the body to receive on the half turn and push the ball into space by opening the hips. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
