Receiving at angles on the back foot to take into space
Description
In this practice we are focusing on receiving at angles on the back foot to take into space. The drill begins with the coach passing the ball to the player who sets back and this happens until the coach shouts ‘GO’. The player then moves to one of the three cones to receive on the back foot, touch and foot. If the player receives the ball on the outside of the two wide cones they then look to touch the ball away and then turn back to play. The players body shape should be on the half turn for this to happen. Each set should consist of 5 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
