Creating space to play Forward
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players ability to create space to play forward. The drill starts with the player moving through the poles/cones, to receive and set back to the coach, before moving back through the poles to repeat. After the player has set back a second time, they look to backpedal beyond the furthest pole, to receive, take the ball across the body and pass forward. The player will then recover to the start point, before repeating on the opposite side. The player should look to check their shoulder at all times before moving and receiving. They have two gates each side to play through, one representing a forward pass into wide areas, and one representing a forward pass into central areas.
