Meeting the ball on the move to travel with speed


Description

In this session we are focusing on meeting the ball on the move to travel with speed. The drill begins with the coach passing the ball to the player who sets back. The player then moves towards the middle cone with the coach passing the ball for the player to receive on the run and then dribble across. As the player reaches the cone they look to turn and pass back to the coach before moving round the cone to receive, touch and play. The players body shape should be open to receive on the back foot and drive into space. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
