Receiving the ball to open out and drive/play
Description
In this session we are focusing on receiving the ball to open out and drive/play. The drill begins with the player receiving the ball on the back foot to touch into space and pass to the coach. The player then scans and drops to the cone behind to receive on the back foot and drive across into space before playing back to the coach. The player then scans and drops again to receive, open out and play. The player should ensure that their body shape is open to receive on the back foot. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
