Receiving on the half turn to take the ball forward


Description

In this session we are focusing on receiving on the half turn to take the ball forward. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who sets back on either side of the cone. The player then moves to one of the three cones to receive the ball on the half turn to take forward. The player then turns after taking the ball into space to repeat. The players body shape should be open to receive on the back foot and push into space. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
