Receiving on the back foot to drive and take the ball into space


Description

In this session we are focusing on receiving on the back foot to drive and take the ball into space. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who sets back both sides of the cone. The player then scans and drops back to the middle cone to receive on the back foot and drive into space. The player then passes back to the coach and scans again to drop to the cone behind. The player then receives the ball on the back foot to touch into space and play back to the coach to repeat. The player should open their body out to receive on the back foot. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
