Receiving to play, step and combine with sharp movements

Description

In this session we are focusing on receiving to play, step and combine with sharp movements. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who sets back on both sides of the cone. The player then checks their shoulder and drops to the cone behind to receive the ball on the back foot to open out and play. The player then looks to step through the two cones to set and move round the front to drop to the back to receive, open out and play. The player then drops the shoulder to step back through the cones to repeat. The player should ensure that they check their surroundings and focus on their movement once playing the ball. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side to focus on both feet.
