Touches across the Body

Description

In this session we are focusing on our players ability to take the ball across the body to pass. The drill starts with the player moving towards the central cone, before moving out to receive. Upon receiving the ball, the player then takes the ball across the cone/pole before passing back to the coach and moving to the outside of the right cone. The player then receives the ball again and repeats, and does the same when returning back into the middle and on the left side to complete the set. It’s important to tell the player to give themselves space to receive the ball, so move away from the cone, treating it as a defender. The drill should consist of a minimum of three sets.
