Receive, turn and play to create space to receive


Description

In this session we are focusing on receiving, turn and play to create space to receive. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who looks to set back on both sides of the cone before dropping to the middle cone. The player then receives the ball to touch and turn to then pass back to the coach. The player then moves around the front of the cone to receive on the back foot to drive into space. The player should scan their surroundings and adapt the body shape to receive on the back foot. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
