Applying pressure and adapting the body shape to receive


Description

In this session we are focusing on Applying pressure and adapting the body shape to receive. The drill begins with the coach passing the ball to player 1 who opens out and passes to player 2. Player 1 then transitions to apply pressure by accelerating to one of the four cones before braking and moving back to the middle receive the ball again. The player looks to adapt the body shape when transitioning to receive the ball to ensure they take the ball on the back foot. Each set should consist of 6 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times per player.
