Receiving on the half turn to open out and play forward

Description

In this session we are focusing on receiving on the half turn to open out and play forward. The drill begins with the player moving towards one of the outside cones before then dropping the shoulder to move back towards the middle when the coach will then pass to the player to take the ball away to play forward. The player should receive the ball with an open body shape, emphasis the disguise with the drop of the shoulder and touch the ball away on the back foot. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
