Receiving on the back foot to open out and combine


Description

In this session we are focusing on receiving on the back foot to open out and combine with bounce passes. The drill begins with the coach passing to player 1 who sets back to the coach before moving in front of the cone to receive on the back foot to open out. Player 1 then passes to player 2 who sets back to player 1 for them to set back to the coach. The coach then plays the ball to player 2 who sets back and moves inside to begin their rep. The players should ensure that they control the tempo with the first time passes and adapt the body shape to receive on the back foot. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps per player and should be completed at least two times each side.
