Accelerate and decelerate to change direction to attack space


Description

In this session we are focusing on accelerating and decelerating to change direction to attack space. The drill begins with the player sprinting to the cone to the right before slowing down to transition to back pedal to the start point. The player then moves around the start cone and accelerates to the middle cone furthest away. As the player reaches the cone they transition to back pedal to the right side cone and around to accelerate to the opposite side. The player should slow down before transitioning and turning to then accelerate into space. Each set should consist of 1 - 3 reps and should be completed at least three times.
