Moving through tight space to accelerate and change direction
Description
In this session we are focusing on manoeuvring through tight space to accelerate and change direction. The drill begins with the player working through the cones showing quick feet and changes of direction. As the players moves out of the cones they look to accelerate out to the wide cone before slowing down to turn and sprint to the opposite side. Once the player has reached the opposite side they look to turn and move up and round the highest cone before sprinting back to the start. When approaching to turn the player should slow down and stay close to the cone by retaining a low body shape and staying light on their feet. Each set should consist of 1 - 3 reps and should be completed at least three times.
