Agility and quick feet to turn smoothly and accelerate
Description
In this session we are focusing on agility and quick feet to turn smoothly and accelerate. The drill begins with the player moving on the spot until the coach shouts what side the player moves to. The player then looks to react to move across and back through the ladder showing sharp footwork. Once the player moves out of the ladder they look to turn to accelerate to cone below before turning and accelerating to the wide cone. As the player reaches the cone to turn they should look to slow down and stay close to the cone whilst retaining a lower body position to turn smoothly. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times.
