Stepping to build power and explode out into space


Description

In this session we are focusing on stepping to build power and explode out into space. The drill begins with the player moving across the agility hurdles stepping over one foot at a time, ensuring they are light on their feet and keep the heels off the ground. Once the player steps out the final hurdle they look to explode out and accelerate to the cone before transitioning to a back pedal to return to the start. As the player reaches the cone they look to slow down to allow a smooth transition to the back pedal. Each set should consist of 2 - 3 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
