Agility and quick movements to control and play the ball


Description

In this session we are focusing on agility and quick movements to control and play the ball. The drill begins with the player moving through the middle of the cones/poles were the coach then throws the ball for the player to control the ball on the knee and play back to the coaches hands. The player then moves back through the cones and around the back to receive and play back to the coaches hands. The player then moves through the middle again to repeat on the opposite side. The player should cushion the ball when controlling on the knee, and ensure they check the shoulder when moving back through the middle. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps each side and should be completed at least three times.
