Accelerating and turning with the ball speed race


Description

In this session we are focusing on accelerating and turning with the ball. The drill begins with the player diagonally opposite each other. When the coach shouts ‘go’ the player look to dribble to cone straight ahead. Once the players turn past the cone, they look to dribble across the square and turn to then finish at the other players start point. The players look to maintain control of the ball when turning to allow a smooth transition to accelerate with the ball. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least two times.
