React to change direction quickly and move to the ball to finish


Description

In this session we are focusing on reacting to change direction quickly and move to the ball to finish. The drill begins with the coach shouting a number or colour of a cone. The player then moves to the cone and back to the middle to repeat. When the coach shouts ‘ball’ the player looks to react quickly to move and finish one of the balls into the goal. The player looks to show sharp reactions and the ability to change direction quickly. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
