Sprint, Backpedal, Burst Out
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players sprinting and backpedaling without the ball, and their sprinting and turning with the ball. Firstly, without the ball, the player begins by sprinting to the middle line, and then backpedaling back to the start, before sprinting to the end line. After a short rest, the player repeats to complete one set. Secondly, with the ball, the player completes the same sequence, except that we remove a backpedal and the player turns and changes the direction of their dribble. The drill should be completed at least three times both with and without the ball.
