Quick transition to receive and accelerate into space

Description

In this session we are focusing on accelerating into space with the ball and transitioning to receive the ball again. The drill begins with the coach passing the ball to the player. The player looks to open out and drive forward with the ball before passing back to the coach once they’ve reached the cone/pole. After the player passes the ball, they look to transition quickly to back pedal to the cone behind them to receive the ball and drive forward again. When the player transitions, they should check their shoulder, and adapt the body shape to receive the ball to open out. Each set should consist of 3 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
