Acceleration & quick feet to burst into space to receive the ball
Description
In this session we are focusing on acceleration and quick feet to burst into space. The drill begins with the player moving across the ladder leading with the right foot. Once the player moves out of the ladder, they look to accelerate out to the cone on the right. The player moves around the cone to then backpedal to the left cone before accelerating to the highest cone where they then receive the ball. After the player receives the ball, they look to drive into space to play into the goal. The player should transition quickly by slowing down when turning to change direction. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
