Arrow shaped speed and quickness to change direction
Description
In this session we are focusing on speed and quickness to change direction. The drill begins with the player sprinting to the middle cone. As they player approaches, they look to slow down to transition into a shuffle to one of the wide cones. After the player moves around the cone, they look to sprint to the highest point. The player then transitions into a back pedal to move back to the middle point and shuffle to the other side. Once the player moves around the wide cone, they look to sprint to the highest point again and back pedal back to the middle point, before turning to sprint back to the start. The player looks to change direction and movements quickly. They should look to slow down when approaching a cone to enable a swift change of direction. The drill should consist of 2 - 5 reps and should be completed at least two times.
